Federal Skilled Worker Class

Applications for Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) are judged on their potential to establish themselves economically after coming to Canada. This is Canada’s premier programme for worker immigration, enabling the nation to warmly welcome tens of thousands of immigrants each year. The Express Entry (EE) scheme includes this as a crucial category.

Minimum Program criteria

In order to be eligible for this program, a candidate must:

Possess at least one year of continuous full-time employment, or equivalent paid experience, in a skilled occupation over the previous ten years (National Occupational Classification skill lever 0, A or B)
Get a first official language CLB 7 or NCLC 7 proficiency in each of the four language categories (Reading, Writing, Speaking & Listening). You must achieve a minimum level of CLB 5 or NCLC 5 in all four language categories in order to get points for the second official language.
Applicants must demonstrate that they have enough settlement money to sustain themselves and their families after arriving in Canada, in addition to meeting qualifying and points criteria. Foreign nationals who have secured employment in Canada or are actively employed there are exempt from the settlement payments requirement.
Get an ECA (Educational Credential Assessment) for a foreign education or a Canadian educational credential.

Important Points

➽ Based on Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada's (IRCC) immigration selection criteria, the applicant(s) must get at least 67 points. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which ranks every Express Entry profile, is not the same points system as this one. These are the six selection criteria:
