A. Manitoba Work Experience Pathway

Anyone with current temporary work permits in Manitoba, such as temporary workers, can apply in this stream. Graduates from Canadian post-secondary institutions who are foreign nationals and have valid post-graduation work permits may also apply.

This stream also takes into account foreign graduates who attended postsecondary institutions outside of Manitoba and who have at least a year of experience working in a profession in demand in Manitoba.

Eligibility Criteria Of Manitoba Work Experience Stream

Work Experience

If you are a temporary foreign worker, you need to have at least 6 months of work experience in one of the in-demand professions in Manitoba.

OR

If you attended school outside of Manitoba’s borders, you must have at least 12 months of work experience in a position on Manitoba’s list of the most in-demand professions, which should be associated with your subject of study.

OR

If your work experience does not fall under one of the in-demand professions in Manitoba, you should have at least 12 months of work experience there with a work permit that is supported by or exempt from the LMIA.

OR

Graduates from Manitoban post-secondary institutions who have worked in the province for at least a year in a profession that isn’t on the list of the province’s most in-demand employment.

Additional Employment Requirements:-

Candidates must be residing in Manitoba at the time of application and/or be employed there;

A long-term, full-time job offer that satisfies the occupation’s employment and wage standards in Manitoba is required;

The applicant’s employer must have a minimum of three years of prior experience, his business must be located in Manitoba, and it must be a legally recognized commercial enterprise at the time of application.

Working conditions for the applicant are equivalent to those of Canadian citizens and permanent residents;

The applicant’s job is not commission-based, part-time, temporary, seasonal, or based from home.

Language Skills:-

• At least CLB 6 for Compulsory Trades

• At least CLB 5 for all other NOC 0, A, or B occupations

• At least CLB 5 for all other NOC 0, A, or B occupations

B. Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway

Applicants who have been invited by the MPNP to apply for a provincial nomination after being interviewed by Manitoba employers outside of Canada are qualified to use this choice. Applicants may use the Manitoba Employer Direct Recruitment Route, which was established under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream if they have accepted strong job offers from reputable companies in the province.

Every application must be eligible for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

Manitoba Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway Eligibility

Work Experience:-

At least two years of work experience within the last five years in the field for which they are applying, or other relevant experience as determined by the employer;

OR

if less than two years, relevant experience as determined by the employer.

Additional Employment / Job offer

Requirements:-

The long-term, full-time job offer that complies with the occupation’s employment and pay standards in Manitoba;

The applicant employer must have been in operation for at least three years before the application deadline, and his or her Manitoba-based company must be legally registered as a commercial enterprise.

The job duties of the applicant would be equivalent to those of Canadian citizens and permanent residents;

There should be no commission-based, temporary, part-time, or home-based employment available to the candidate.

Language skills:-

The minimum language skills requirements depend on the assessed NOC:

• least CLB 7 for Regulated Occupations.

• At least CLB 6 for Compulsory Trades.

• At least CLB 5 for all depending on 0, A, or B occupations.

• At least CLB 4 for semi-skilled occupations (NOC C or D) where the employer commits to providing or facilitating workplace language training.

Adaptability: Candidates must show that they have the capacity and desire to live in Manitoba.

Education: Candidates should have post-secondary training relevant to the job being recruited for or identified by the business.

Candidates should apply to the regulatory authority to have their qualifications and skills evaluated and/or pass an exam if the position calls for a license or certification.

The MPNP reserves the authority to choose candidates for NOC C or D jobs who have no post-secondary education as long as they have the necessary training for the position by the NOC description and employer requirements.

Employer Eligibility for Strategic Initiatives: Potential employers must fulfill particular requirements for eligibility as set forth by the MPNP.

A. Manitoba Express Entry Pathway

(now known as the Express Entry Sub-Stream for Skilled Workers Abroad)
Candidates that meet the qualifications for Express Entry and have a live Express Entry profile may apply for this stream if they are also qualified under another MPNP stream. Applicants must have a close family connection to Manitoba and be able to demonstrate experience in a field that is on the list of in-demand professions in Manitoba.

Candidates who may qualify under an MPNP stream and who also meet the requirements for Express Entry and have a live Express Entry profile are eligible to apply in this stream. Close friends or family members in Manitoba should attest that they will support you for at least a year.

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) awards 600 extra points to Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination through an Express Entry-aligned stream, also known as an “enhanced” nomination. This puts them in a good position to get an Invitation To Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in a subsequent Express Entry Draw.

Candidates who meet the requirements and have experience in a Manitoba In-Demand Profession are eligible for this stream. Candidates who qualify under another MPNP stream may also be able to apply for this stream.

Eligibility Criteria

You must present a valid Express Entry pool ID and job seeker validation code to participate in Express Entry.

Work Experience: You must have completed a full career plan and have at least six months of work experience in one of the in-demand occupations.

You require a minimum of language proficiency According to the NOC:

• CLB 7 minimum for NOC 0 or A
• CLB 6 minimum for NOC B

Education: If your position requires a license or certification, you should apply to the regulatory body to have your qualification and skills appraised and/or pass an examination. The program must be the Canadian equivalent and be a minimum of one year in length.

Age: At the time of submission, you have to be at least 18 years old.

Adaptability: you have to show the ability and purpose to get economically established and remain in Manitoba; and o, and your Close friend or relative in Manitoba affirm they will support you for a minimum of one year.

OR

hold a current, MPNP-issued Invitation to Apply.

Settlement Funds: For six months, you must demonstrate liquid funds that meet the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) requirements for independent financial resources.

A list of in-demand professions includes those in business, finance, and food.

• Natural and applied sciences, as well as jobs associated to them

• CA Withers in healthcare

• Jobs in the social sciences, teaching, government, and religion

• A career in the arts, culture, recreation, and/or culture

• Jobs in sales and services

• Trades, operators of vehicles and equipment, and allied professions

• Jobs specific to the main industry

• Specific jobs in manufacturing, processing, and utilities

B. Route for Human Capital

Foreign skilled workers who have experience in Manitoba’s in-demand occupations and who show the capacity to establish themselves by developing solid ties to those occupations on the labor market are eligible for this stream.

Roadmap for Human Capital Conditions for Eligibility

Work Experience: You should include at least six months of full-time employment; if less than a year, no points will be given. Your experience should be in one of the occupations on the list of those in demand in Manitoba.

A comprehensive Career Plan is another requirement for applicants.

Language abilities: Depending on your stated occupation, your language needs

For regulated occupations, the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 minimum

• • CLB 6 or higher for Required Trades
• • For all other National Occupational Classification (NOC) 0, A, or B occupations, at least CLB 5.

Moreover, second official language competency of at least CLB 5 is rewarded with points.

Education: If your position requires a license or certification, you must successfully post-secondary program lasting at least one year and apply to the regulatory authority to have your qualifications and skills evaluated and/or pass an exam.

Adaptability: You must demonstrate the capacity and desire to settle down and lead a prosperous life in Manitoba, and a close friend or relative in that province must declare that they will house you for at least a year.

OR

within the recent five years, you completed post-secondary coursework in Manitoba;

OR

You have worked previously in Manitoba for the past five years;

OR

You hold a legitimate Invitation to Apply from the MPNP.

Age: You must be at least 18 years old at the time of application submission; if you are above 45, no points will be given. There is no upper age limit.

Money: Applicants must additionally show that they have access to liquid money that meets the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) standards for a six-month period.

According to the size of your family, your settlement funds must be equal to or higher than the amounts stated below.

A. Manitoba Farm Investor Pathway

The Farm Investor Stream, which is a section of Manitoba’s Business Investor Stream, assists those who have experience in the farming industry and enough money to immigrate to start and run a farm in the province.

As 13% of Canada’s agriculture is located in Manitoba, primarily in southern Manitoba, we can refer to Manitoba as the country’s agricultural capital. Successful FIP applicants are expected to start a farm business in rural Manitoba that produces basic goods that complement the region’s current agricultural sector. The type of business and investment must be compatible with provincial data and pertinent to Manitoba’s agricultural sector.

Candidates for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program should be eligible to apply for the Agricultural Investment Route (MPNP).

Manitoba Farm Investor Pathway Eligibility Criteria

Farm Business Experience: You have at least three years of documented, verifiable experience managing a farm or owning and operating a farm.

Linguistic abilities are crucial for adaptability and boost your chances of success in either of Canada’s two official languages. Either French or English will be used during your FIP interviews.

Investing in Business for the Farm: To start a farming operation in rural Manitoba, you must invest at least $300,000.

Your investments in your farm business should be made in MPNP-eligible tangible assets.

A farm business plan is necessary and a crucial component of the application.

Investments made into a farm operation that is run primarily to generate passive income or for speculation are ineligible.

Farm Business Activities: In rural Manitoba, your farm business entity should engage in regular, ongoing operations.

You must continuously run the farm business from within Manitoba while residing on the farm and taking an active role in it.

The agricultural operation must be engaged in active primary agriculture production and be profitable.

You must conduct value-added farm business activities in Manitoba to participate in the MPNP. The MPNP does not permit speculative operations or the involvement of outside farm managers.

The Establishment of the Economy Adaptability: Candidates must show flexibility, particularly in practical farming abilities, technical knowledge, and experience in technologically based agricultural methods that will directly transfer to Manitoba’s existing major farm-producing industry.

Required Net Worth: At the very least $500,000.

The FIP retains the right to request that a third-party supplier authorized by the MPNP verify an individual’s net worth.

Within 120 days of receiving the invitation to apply, the application and verification report must be submitted to the MPNP, if optioned.

B. Manitoba Entrepreneur Pathway

The Manitoba Business Investor Stream includes the Entrepreneur stream as a major component. With the help of this stream, Manitoba can identify and nominate suitable business experts from all over the world who have the desire and resources to relocate to the province and develop, buy, or partner with an existing business there.

The province’s Expression of Interest (EOI) pool is linked to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program’s (MPNP) Entrepreneur Pathway. Eligible candidates submit their EOI online by constructing a profile, which receives a score based on the responses given on the Self-Assessment form.

Manitoba Entrepreneur Pathway Eligibility Criteria

Business Experience: You must have at least three out of five years’ worth of experience running a profitable business or serving in top management.

Owners of businesses receive more credit than senior managers.

To qualify for points, business owners must own a minimum of 33 1/3% of the company.

Official Languages Proficiency: You must have at least CLB level 5.

Education: You must possess the equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma.

Age: There is no minimum or maximum age requirement; however, candidates between the ages of 25 and 49 receive more ranking points.

For firms located in the Manitoba Capital Area, a minimum investment of $250,000 is required.

If a business is located outside of the Manitoba Capital Area, the minimum investment is $150,000.

Your commercial investment ought to be made in an MPNP-eligible company.

Apart for the proprietors of the business and/or their immediate family members, your planned business must generate or maintain a minimum of one position for a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Manitoba.

Visit for business research

A business plan is required and an important component of the application.

The applicant can do in-depth research on their potential company investment or proposal during a business research visit.

The Business Research Visit shouldn’t take place more than a year before an EOI is submitted.

The ability to adapt

Points will be given out if:

• Your partner has a CLB of five or more.

•You or your spouse have a second official language CLB of 5 or above.

• A close relative of yours or your spouse’s or common-law partner’s has lived in Manitoba for more than a year.

• You have a kid who is enrolled in an approved Manitoba school and has been engaged in full-time academic, professional, or vocational training for at least six months previous to the date your EOI was submitted; and/or

• You or your accompanying spouse or common-law partner have completed a full-time program of study at a Manitoba post-secondary institution for at least one year. After turning 17 and having a valid study permit, the candidate should have done this, or his or her accompanying spouse or common-law partner.

• In Manitoba, you or your accompanying spouse or common-law partner have worked full-time for at least six consecutive months. The company should supply a letter of recommendation, along with a copy of the work permit.

Net Worth:- Minimum of $500,000

An independent company that has been authorised by the MPNP will confirm each person’s net worth. Within 120 days of receiving a Letter of Advice to Apply, an application must be filed to the MPNP accompanied by a verification report (LAA).

Business Performance Agreement: If your application is accepted, you must sign a Business Performance Agreement (BPA) before the MPNP will issue you a letter of support for your work permit application.

This is a unique initiative for immigrants to Manitoba through Morden Community Driven Immigration. Morden is a small rural community around 113 km southwest of Winnipeg that deliberately selects new residents for specific jobs.

Successful candidates may apply to become permanent residents of Canada, together with their dependent family members. With a population of about 9,500, Morden, Manitoba, is a city located approximately 113 kilometers southwest of Winnipeg.

Conditions Minimum For The Program

In order to find these targeted occupations and meet local labour market demands, the Morden immigration stream collaborates with local employers. Candidates must fit into one of the following targeted professions:

• • The welders
• • The carpenters
• • Chefs, and
• • Pipefitters and plumbers.

Applying for the Morden Immigration Initiative as a welder requires the following qualifications:

• You should be between the ages of 21 and 45;

• You don’t have any other ties to other regions of Canada (such as through acquaintances, relatives, prior job, or school);

• You must have finished a post-secondary training or education programme of at least one year in length for which you were awarded a diploma, certificate, or degree;

• You must have a General IELTS score of at least five in each band;

• You must have the sincere desire and capacity to relocate to Morden and develop a successful career;

• MPNP mandates that you have the settlement monies necessary ($10,000 for the Main Applicant and $2,000 for each Dependent). This is in addition to any cash required for the costs of the exploratory visit;

For all other occupations –

• You should be between the ages of 21 and 45;

• You don’t have any other ties to other regions of Canada (such as through acquaintances, relatives, prior job, or school);

• You must have finished a post-secondary training or education programme of at least one year in length for which you were awarded a diploma, certificate, or degree;

• MPNP stipulates that you have to have the settlement funds ($10,000 for the principal applicant and $2,000 for each dependent). This is in addition to any monies required for the costs of the exploratory visit; and

• You must have a sincere desire to settle down in Morden and the means to do so;

Candidates who are interested in and have experience living in rural areas and who have the ability to adapt to new cultures and climatic changes should apply for this immigration stream. Candidates who meet the requirements and have been chosen as potential immigrants to Morden under the stream will need to travel there on an exploratory trip. The main goal of this trip is to succeed in the MPNP interview. Making local relationships and looking for job can improve your prospects.

At the time of the exploratory visit, the candidate must confirm with the MPNP that they meet all basic qualifying requirements. The applicant must also keep all connections off during the application process and until they leave Morden and go to other parts of Canada. This means that if a friend or relative moved outside of Morden, the application would be reevaluated by the Morden Selection Committee to determine whether Morden would still approve it.

Application Process In Details :

The steps for applying to come to Canada via this stream are summarised in the steps that follow. Applicants may apply and come to Canada by:

• Step 1: Ascertain their eligibility (requirements above).

• Step 2: Only applicants with active Express Entry profiles will be accepted by MCDII (with the exception of Welders and Carpenters).

• Step 3: Submit an application (include Federal Express Entry number, if applicable).

To apply, candidates must possess the following things:

• • Application form;
• • V. or resume for the principal applicant and spouse;
• • Copy of passport;
• • IELTS result; and
• • Proof of Settlement Funds (scan of bank statement and/or property valuation ).

• Step 4: You will extend the offer for him or her to come for an exploratory visit if you want.

• Step 5: Before the interview with an MPNP officer at the conclusion of the exploratory visit, the applicant will investigate Morden.

• Step 6: If the MPNP officer determines that the applicant is a suitable fit for both MCDII and MPNP following the interview, he or she will extend an invitation to apply for MPNP.

• Step 7: Through the MPNP, the applicant may submit an online application for provincial nomination. After the person has returned home from the exploratory visit, this is typically done.

• Step 8: The applicant will get a Nomination Letter from the MPNP if it is determined after the MPNP has evaluated the application that he or she meets all of the MPNP’s basic requirements.

• Step 9: With this Nomination Letter, the applicant may submit an application as a provincial nominee to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC, formerly CIC).

• Step 10: IRCC conducts an additional review, including background checks on criminal and medical histories.

• Step 11: The candidate can make plans to relocate to Morden with any accompanying family members after receiving Permanent Resident Visas.

Graduates from Manitoba who match industry criteria now have quicker access to permanent residency thanks to the new International Education Stream (IES).

Graduate Internship Pathway

This stream is for foreign students who have earned a master’s or doctoral degree from a post-secondary institution in Manitoba and who are enrolled in internships that support innovation in the territory. Graduates with an Accelerate or Elevate internship with Mitacs in Manitoba are eligible to apply to the program right after graduation, regardless of whether they have received a job offer.

Note: Before submitting an Expression of Interest to the MPNP, graduates who are interested in applying under the Graduate Internship stream must attend an informative session.

Eligibility Requirements For The Graduate Internship Pathway

Education: The applicant must have recently finished a master’s or doctoral program in Manitoba.

Your proficiency in official languages must be at least CLB 7.

Current Employment in Manitoba:

The applicant does not require a job offer at the time of application if the applicant completed a master’s or doctoral program in Manitoba and completed an internship through Mitacs Elevate or Accelerate (including Accelerate Entrepreneur) with an eligible Manitoba industry or research enterprise.

Settlement Funds: The applicant must show that they have access to liquid funds that meet the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) standards for independent financial resources for six months.

OR

The applicant must hold a full-time, long-term job in Manitoba.

Adaptability: At the time of application, the applicant must be a Manitoba resident. The applicant must demonstrate their intention to remain in Manitoba after being nominated by submitting a Career Employment Plan that details their plans for a lucrative career in Manitoba.

Career Employment Pathway

This stream gives priority to foreign graduates who secure long-term work in Manitoba in a field that matches their educational background and training.

Eligibility Requirements For The Career Employment Pathway

Education: You must have completed at least one year, or two semesters of full-time coursework at an approved post-secondary institution within the last three years to graduate;

Your proficiency in official languages must be at least CLB 7.

Employment Situation in Manitoba

You must have a full-time employment offer from an eligible existing employer with a minimum one-year contract in one of the in-demand occupations on Manitoba’s published list that corresponds to the applicant’s training.

At the time that the applicant’s application is reviewed, they must be employed full-time in Manitoba.

Note:

• The MPNP may impose program or occupation-specific limits.

• Graduates of Manitoba Degree programs qualify provided they have a job offer in any NOC 0, A, B on the MPNP’s in-demand occupations list

Settlement Funds

The applicant must provide evidence of liquid money meeting Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) standards for independent financial resources for six months.

OR

The candidate should hold a full-time, permanent job in Manitoba.

Adaptability

A Manitoba resident must be the applicant at the time of application.
They must demonstrate their intention to stay in Manitoba after receiving the nomination, which includes submitting a Career Employment Plan outlining chances for a lucrative professional path there.

Manitoba – International Student Entrepreneur Pilot

The chance to explore and launch a business in Manitoba on a temporary work permit is available to up to 20 international graduates from Manitoba each year. The applicant will receive a nomination from Manitoba for permanent residency in Canada once they have fulfilled the requirements of their Business Performance Agreement.

Before submitting any paperwork to the MPNP, all prospective applicants should first attend an information session.

Eligibility Requirements For The Student Entrepreneur Pathway

Business Experience: You must submit a business plan with your MPNP application.

According to the demands of the Business Performance Agreement, the candidate must have operated the company as a senior manager daily from the place of business in Manitoba for at least six months before nomination while on a legitimate temporary work permit (BPA).

Ownership stake in your company is equal to at least 51%.

Your proficiency in official languages must be at least CLB 7. (For this stream only, IELTS – Academic is accepted in addition to other language proficiency tests)

Education: In Manitoba, you must complete a full-time post-secondary program that lasts at least two (2) years. (Programs that use compressed learning times or distance learning are ineligible)

While not a criterion for admission, studies and/or work/business experience outside of Canada will be deemed advantageous.

Your age should range from 21 to 35.

Adaptability:

– The candidate must:

• At the time of application, you must have an active open work permit or post-graduation work permit (PGWP);

• You must have lived in Manitoba continuously after graduating; and

• You must demonstrate your intention to stay in Manitoba after being nominated.

Financial Position / Settlement Funds: No down payment is necessary.
Minimum net worth is not a requirement for eligibility, but it will be taken into account when determining whether the business plan can be effectively executed.

The applicant must provide evidence of liquid money meeting Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) standards for independent financial resources for six months.

An independent company that has been authorized by the MPNP will confirm each person’s net worth. Within 120 days of receiving the LAA, the application and verification report must be sent to the MPNP.

Before the MPNP issues the applicant a letter of support for applying, a Business Performance Agreement (BPA) shall be executed following the approval of the application.
